The

Charity

“Virginia and I were incredibly excited to be partnering with Hannah. Her incredible enthusiasm is matched by the quality of her art, and her passion for animals and the natural world shines through. Her exhibition in London in June 2019 was a massive hit and further established her as one of the UK’s most talented contemporary artists.”

Will Travers

President and CEO, Born Free

Born Free seeks to have a positive impact on animals in the wild and protect their ecosystems in perpetuity, for their own intrinsic value and for the critical roles they play within the natural world.

The

  History

Since its formation some 35 years ago by Virginia McKenna OBE and Bill Travers MBE, stars of the 1966 film Born Free, along with their eldest son Will Travers OBE, Born Free has been committed to protecting threatened species in their natural habitats and preventing wild animal suffering.

From small beginnings, Born Free has grown into a leading conservation and wildlife organisation which operates sanctuaries, conservation activities and educational outreach programmes in over 20 countries across the globe.

Elephants are living treasures. Nature's gardeners. Nature's great teachers. Tragically some people don't give a damn. They prefer the dead treasure to the living one. The ivory.

The

Exhibition

In June 2019 Hannah hosted her solo exhibition on London's Pall Mall. The private view saw 150 guests assemble for the auction of two donated works, raising over £20,000. With a further painting donated to Born Free's 'Wind of Change' gala and 20% of sales from the remainder of the collection also donated, the total funds raised for Born Free in 2019 exceeded £65,000.

Over £65,000 raised for Born Free

The

gala

In September 2019 Hannah was invited to Born Free's 'Wind of Change' gala where she donated a further painting - A Crash of Rhinos.

The painting surpassed all expectations, raising £16,000 as the top lot of the evening, 100% of which was donated to the charity.
